Jefferson Schools Board of Education Selects Ms. Amy Gee as our Superintendent of Jefferson Schools

A special meeting of the Board of Education for Jefferson Schools was held on April 17, 2024 following the last of three final interviews to select a new Superintendent of Schools.

The Board is pleased to announce they will enter into negotiations with Ms. Amy Gee after discussion and an approved motion to select her as their new leader.

Ms. Gee currently serves as a Principal at Wayne-Westland Community Schools in Inkster, Michigan. She has a Bachelor Degree in Special Education, and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership.

Board members spoke of the challenge they faced given the quality they saw in the entire pool of applicants.  President Dan Stump noted, "We entered the process concerned we might not find solid candidates and instead struggled to narrow to one.  This gives us hope and optimism for the future of our schools and children."

The Board appreciates all candidates who participated in the interview process and would like to personally thank Pete Haines, a consultant from Michigan Leadership Institute (MLI), for his assistance throughout this process.
